Every episode of TakeAway starts as notes — a series bible, character profiles, season beats — and works its way down to individual scenes and rendered frames. Here is a look at the pipeline and where Season 1 stands.

The Pipeline

1. Script — dialogue and beats drafted scene by scene.
2. Scene breakdown — each scene mapped to location, characters, and shots.
3. Storyboards — staging the action before animation.
4. Render — building and lighting the shots into finished frames.

Where Things Stand

• S1E01 — “Bottle of Bees”: script in first draft, 13 scenes broken down, animation underway.
• S1E02–E04: in early drafting.
• Season 1: built around one question — what is the sample, and what will it become?
